Thomas Elliott and Spoon Singh, proprietors of The Venice Ale House at 2 Rose, are set to open their second location, The Austin Ale House, at the beginning of March.
Located at 301 West 6th Street in Austin, Texas, the new restaurant will have a menu similar to that of the Venice Ale House, mixing organic American Fare with a Mexican influence. Produce, meat and poultry will be sourced from local farmers and ranches, giving the new menu a proper Texas influence.
Elliott and Singh chose the new location for its vibrant artistic community, noting the similarities between Venice and Austin. Venice Ale House chef Emilio Oliva, who is from the Austin area, will be General Manager and Executive Chef at the new location.
Inside the Austin Ale House, tables on the way!
Located in the heart of downtown Austin, the new 4,000 sq foot location has a proper stage for musical performances which will also be used for comedy nights, movie nights and community events.
The Austin Ale House plans to open with 38 craft beers on tap, many from Texas, rounded out by a robust wine list and cocktails.
If you are headed to South by Southwest this year, go check them out! Have your company party there!
