The second annual “Taste of Abbot Kinney” will take place this Sunday, October 24th from 3-7pm. “Taste of Abbot Kinney” proceeds go to help Inside Out Community Arts.
This year, it will likely be a good turn out, as the organizers have invited the “food trucks” to participate. The food trucks are being regulated on, and will not be allowed to park on Abbot Kinney in front of brick and mortar restaurants . Neither will you or your friends, so ride your bike or walk! Food trucks will be corralled to areas with no restaurants, including the parking lot at the corner of Main and AK, between Venice and French Marketplace, The Brig and near Westminster. Sounds awesome to us!
All of the food trucks are donating at the same level the restaurants are so this is the first time they are truly giving to the community, and working with the merchants. Nice job for giving back to the community food truck peeps!
If you buy your tickets by the end of today, you will be entered into the prize drawing! Prizes include a 52″ TV, stays at hotels, gift certificates and more. Weather says cloudy but no rain, so it should be all good!
Featured restaurants include The Tasting Kitchen, Wabi-Sabi, Joe’s, Primitivo, Hal’s, Lilly’s French Bar & Cafe, Jin Patisserie, 3 Square, Marla’s, French Marketplace, Tlapazola Grill, Casa Linda, The Brickhouse, Abbot’s Pizza, N’ice Cream and Gourmet Food Trucks and more…
