Two major fundraisers will be held to help assist the widow and year and a half old child of Guillermo “Memo” Carmona-Perez in Venice.
On Saturday the 23rd, Baja Cantina will be hosting a benefit fundraiser from 10am-1pm. Proceeds from food sales will be donated to the family and the restaurant will also be taking cash and check donations to give to the family.
On Monday, November 25th, Mercedes Grille and BIN73 will host “Memo’s Silent Auction”, featuring numerous contributions by Venice Artists, residents and business owners.

As of now, donated items include “Mon Ami”, a 36″x25″ work by artist Tom Everhart valued at $2,750.00, a gift certificate for dinner at Gjelina’s, Chelsea Handler show tickets, Club level Dodger tickets with parking valued at $150 and more.
All auction proceeds and direct donations will go to Memo’s family to help cover funeral costs and immediate financial hardships.
Please help the auction by donating art, services and goods to the fundraiser. Auction items can be taken to Mercedes Grille at 14 Washington all weekend.
