Venice has been lacking a good Italian Deli forever and a day but after much permit wrangling with the city, Centanni “The Original Old Italian Deli” is finally open. Located at 1700 Lincoln (at Nowita), Centanni is serving up affordable and very solid deli sandwiches as well as a nine offering Insalate menu, solid Primi e Secondi dishes and amazing daily specials.
Centanni is definitely worth trying and may replace your need to head north to Bay Cities as well as become a favorite sit down dinner place too.
Sandwiches (almost too much for one person to eat) run around 7 dollars, Salads are 8, and the Primi e Secondi menu averages around 12. Centanni also have fresh mozzarella, burrata, ricotta, feta by the pound as well as prosciutto, ham, salame toscano and other offerings including fresh breads.
