We hear that LA-based architect-designer Dustin Miles (designer of Venice Beach Wines, Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, Chez Bison in Zion National Park) is going to try his hand at the restaurant business with a proposed eatery in the old “Ace Trophy” location at 609 Rose.
As planned, the restaurant would occupy the front 1/3rd of the building, the remaining space would be used by a law firm. While Miles did help design Venice Beach Wines a few doors down, VBW owner Oscar Hermosillo is not believed to be involved in this project. Miles did not return our call to discuss the project.
Annette Vait tried to get a restaurant going in this location in January of this year, but the property was sold off in February for $1,750,000. The building is 4,204 sq ft on a 5,837 sq ft lot.
