“Casual” clothing company Marine Layer had a pre-opening party for their new store at at 1144 Abbot Kinney this evening. The store will be open for business on Saturday. Venice Vintage Paradise formerly occupied the space.
Marine Layer, started by former investment banking analyst Mike Natenshon in San Francisco, currently has three stores in San Francisco and one in Portland.
All of the store’s products are made in the USA, with a custom fabric that is “a blend of two yarns, Pima Cotton and MicroModal, produced by Lensiz AG. Modal is a bio-based fabric that comes from recycled Beech Wood”.
