VNC Land Use and Planning Meeting: 1-4-12

The Venice Neighborhood Council Land Use and Planning Committee will meet this evening starting at 6:45pm at the Oakwood Community Center at 767 California.

VNC

Highlights of the meeting and what may be coming to Venice soon:

1. The Venice Ale House would like to add a full bar.

2. Café Gratitude Venice will be opening in the new development at 512 Rose (The old Pioneer French Baking Co location), and would like to have on site sales of beer and wine and live music. The proposed Café will have a seating capacity of 112 inside and 24 outdoors. They are expected to be open in March. Café Gratitude started in San Francisco (they have/had eight locations there, but it appears that they are closing all of them?) and expanded to LA with a location on Larchmont last year. Café Gratitude serves up 100% organic vegan dishes and specializes in gourmet raw and cooked cuisines. Peep their LA menu by clicking here.

3. Gjelina Take Away is looking to expand their service floor from 720sq ft to 1057sq ft and also increase the number of seats from 60 to 110 both indoor and outdoor and extend alcohol service to expansion area.

4. Annette Vait’s 609 Rose (the “Ace Trophy” building) will be getting a new 49 seat restaurant that would like to serve a full line of alcohol. (Will update when we hear back from them on what kind of menu will be served!)
