Mayor Villaraigosa signed “42.15”, the Venice Beach Boardwalk – Draft Ordinance amending Los Angeles municipal code section 42.15 to restrict vending, regulate performing and prohibit generating excessive noise on beaches or upon immediately adjacent boardwalks, sidewalks and public ways on December 20th.
The new ordinance will go into effect on January 20th “as long as appropriate signage is completed”. The Council office says “our city units will prioritize the completion and installation of signage as soon as everyone returns to regular schedules” after the holidays.
