Fast food drive up in Venice? Mc Donald’s and others are down the street, but The Great Western Steak and Hoagie Co. in Venice Beach on Lincoln have a better burger for less. ($3.52 for a cheese burger- full random number) Their moniker has always been “3000 miles to Philadelphia: Eat Here”.
While not as “cool” looking or trendy as all the “nouveau” food trucks, The Great Western Steak and Hoagie Co has an “A” rating, easy parking and better food than any “fast food” burger in Venice excepting In-N-Out . I’m not a Philly Steak fan, but all my friends say they are solid. If they re-painted this place and put a velvet rope in front of it they could charge a lot more. Until then, go check it out. If you don’t like what you see you can always say “don’t wail my sandwich” and from my experience they will oblige with no questions asked. Cash only.
