The property still sits vacant, but the proposed House of Pies (a popular diner on Vermont for over 40 years) location at 1020 Venice (at Lincoln) is moving forward.
A hearing will be held by the West Los Angeles Area Planning Commission on Wednesday, February 19th at 4:30 pm to discuss the project, which has been designed by Venice firm COSCIA DAY Architecture + Design.
The hearing involves an appeal of the decision of the Zoning Administrator to approve a Coastal Development Permit for the construction and use of a 3,717 square-foot restaurant with 987 square feet of service floor area with 116 seats located in the single permit jurisdiction area of the Coastal Zone.
The developers are also seeking a conditional use permit for the sale and dispensing of a full line of alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption.
The proposed hours of operation would be from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday in lieu of 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. as otherwise permitted.
