Shuttered: Benice

The Free Venice Beachhead is tweeting that “A Venice institution bites the dust. The HOT (Benice) is closing 12/31 after 25 years. Best breakfast in Venice. Successor to Lafayette Cafe”.

Benice Venice Beach

Sad news, as Benice was a great place and Venice institution. In August, Benice had put up a “Notice of Application” to sell beer and wine. The BeachHead had no more details and I got home after they were closed for the day, so was unable to get any further info myself. Anyone know what the story is?
