Registration is Now Open
Registration is now open for the inaugural Venice Beach Run, scheduled for Saturday, July 20, starting and finishing at the Venice Beach Pier.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Los Angeles Parks Foundation to support the Venice Beach Recreation Center. Founded in 2008, the foundation works to enhance and preserve the city’s public parks and recreation facilities.
The race welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Participants can choose between a 5K, starting at 8 a.m., and a 1-mile race/walk, beginning at 9 a.m.
The Beach Fitness Challenge & Expo and awards ceremony will commence at 10 a.m. All participants will receive a commemorative die-cast finisher medal, a premium beach t-shirt, and a string bag, along with access to sampling and exhibitor booths.
The Race to the Pier 1 Mile is open to youth and adults focused on speed. The 5K course is flat and fast, starting and ending at the Venice Beach Pier and covering the historic Venice Beach Boardwalk. The finish line celebration will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the pier, featuring fitness expos and samples from local shops and eateries.
