Venice Arts, 1702 Lincoln Blvd, has been selected as both a polling place for the California Primary Elections, and as a partner for LA2050’s #PartyatthePolls, an initiative meant to show the importance of civic engagement.
Local non-profit, Venice Arts, is one of eight organizations in Los Angeles participating in #PartyatthePolls happening today, Tuesday June 7, from 9am-8pm.
“We will be holding our own “party” in true Venice Arts fashion called #VeniceVotes, which features an interactive photo booth where people can have their photo taken and their voices heard,” says Venice Arts Marketing & Communications Associate, Chelsea Chenelle.
All photos will be uploaded to the Venice Arts website. Even non-voters are welcome to visit the space to snap a selfie. The #VeniceVotes project will become a living album of portraits that speaks to the uniqueness of Venice and the vital importance of civic engagement.
