Chasing Shadows

“Chasing Shadows” at the Venice Skate Park. Photo by: Nick B.

Venice local Nick B has snapped our Skate Park Pic of the Week.  “It’s been fun to shoot around the park after having grown up hanging around the pavilion and the breakwater,” said Nick.

Photography runs in the family; Nick said his dad is a street photographer and took a heap of shots around LA and Venice in the 70s and 80s. There is an exhibition of some of Nick’s dad’s photos tonight in Playa del Rey. Find out more here. “I’m going to start posting his archives of Venice soon on Instagram,” said Nick of his dad’s work. Check out more pics from Nick on his Instagram @pov_of_nickb.

Enter Skate Park Pic of the Week on Instagram or Twitter. Tag @yovenice and @generaladmission on Instagram and Tweet @yovenice. Use the hashtags #SK8VB and #52brooks so we can find your shots.

You could win swag from General Admission at 52 Brooks Ave., in Venice and a breakfast coffee and açai bowl from Neighborhood Bru. Plus, we’ll share links to the rest of your work.

Pics of the week are online weekly here at YoVenice.com and the last paper of every month will feature a full page spread of all winners for that month.
