The Venice Neighborhood Council Land Use and Planning Committee will meet this evening from 6:45-9pm at the Oakwood Recreation Center. Of note will be discussion of a proposed “multi-use” hotel development at 1000 Abbot Kinney.
The hotel development is seeking Venice Specific Plan exceptions including height (proposed as 4 stories) and and square footage. Other developments that have received exceptions (Latitude 33 and The Frank) provided low income housing in exchange. As of now, the Abbot Kinney development does not include any low income housing in their proposed development.
Cases to be discussed on March 20, 2013:
1000 Abbot Kinney Blvd; Multi-Use Hotel Development.
1900 Lincoln Blvd; Change of Use to Bakery/Restaraunt.
1025 Abbot Kinney Blvd; “Primitivo”; review of case.
