Richard Rayner, a Venice resident and board member of the Friends of the Venice Library and author of his new book, “A Bright and Guilty Place” will be talking and giving a power point slide show about the history of Los Angeles on November 17. The tabloid crimes, Roaring 20’s and the onset of the Depression form the backdrop of this captivating tale of how our city lost its soul. The program is free.
