Dear Yo! Venice!,
Last night I was walking past Windward Ave. and was distracted by the racket coming out of one of the “restaurants” – it was unbelievably live music!
It was then I noticed that our beloved Venice Sign was dark.
Why is this? Has anyone noticed this before? Did the polar vortex freeze it off? Is this a scheme by Councilman Mike Bonin to win some sort of energy efficiency award by cutting power to the sign? Did Silicone Beach hackers hack into the mainframe and target it? The Venice Sign is symbol of our way of life and should never not be lit at night.
