While Yo! Venice! does not usually make political endorsements, we do endorse Eric Garcetti for Mayor. Garcetti, who grew up in Los Angeles, knows the dynamics of Venice well and will likely be the best candidate for our community.
For Venice (CD11), there are four choices on the ballot for our City Council (listed here in ballot order) seat:
Hess is a prosecutor that has worked in the City Attorney’s Office for the last 25 years.

Bonin has worked in government for the last 20 years, most recently as Councilman Rosendahl’s chief of staff. Über connected politically, Bonin’s “grassroots campaign” address is listed as that of the Kaufman Legal Group.
Bostick is a teacher who was formerly in finance.
Sutton is a realtor that grew up in West LA.
