Over the last few weeks there has been a marked increase in bar brawling around Venice between 12- 2am. When I hear the racket (sirens and police helicopters) I tune into the LAPD scanner feed (located on the right in the links section) and have a listen. It is usually some drunken people punching on each other and then running, but there has been an increase in more serious crime too. Saturday evening was no exception when someone went on a rampage throwing punches at the Whaler and then running off down the street. It seems like there is adequate security at these establishments … any ideas out there on what can be done to prevent the endless weekend slug-fests?
