Illegally parked vehicle with Vermont plates finds a home just blocks from the beach
By Nick Antonicello
A green school bus found a home on Washington Blvd Friday afternoon (May 24th) as Venice braced for a busy Memorial Day weekend.
The bus was parked directly in front of 445 Washington, which is a cluster of residential condominiums across the street due east of the Coco Beach Bar & Restaurant.
Several residents were dismayed to see the parked vehicle that close to the beach as we entered a holiday weekend.
The bus had Vermont plates displayed on the back, while the front plates were placed on the passenger side of the front window, “KFF-792.”
The entrance to the bus was barricaded by a wooden door that was pad-locked and the driver’s side had a tarp blocking any visual inside the vehicle.
Most illegally parked RV’s tend to settle on the southside of Washington avoiding residential homes or apartments, but currently a new nest of RV’s are now parked on the northside due east towards Abbot Kinney.
It will be interesting to see if this particular vehicle moves or remains after this holiday weekend.
Yo! Venice will continue to monitor RV activity along Washington after a successful sweep of these vehicles did occur about a month ago.
The issue now seems to be successful and sustaining enforcement that will prevent the return of these vehicles moving forward.
