Councilmember Mike Bonin will unveil a plan he helps will end homelessness in Venice Beach and the neighborhood is invited. The meeting begins at 7pm on Tuesday March 29th at Westminster Elementary, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice.
“Homelessness in Los Angeles is the most severe crisis facing our neighborhoods — and the problem is especially acute in Venice. Solving it is going to take commitment, perseverance, and action,” says Bonin.
Bonin says strategies, approved last month by the city and county, to address homelessness are “meaningless, however, without an implementation plan.” At the March 29th meeting Bonin will propose his implementation strategy and begin the process of seeking public input on it.
“For any plan to succeed, it will need to be collaborative, and move forward with community engagement and support. I expect and welcome robust dialogue and I anticipate plenty of feedback,” says Bonin.
