Santa Monica/ Venice based start-up “When You Wish” has set up a non-profit fundraising page with 100% of all donations going to the victims of Saturday evening’s tragedy on the Venice Boardwalk. Click here to donate. Local businesses can also offer goods and services for sale on the site itself with cash proceeds going to the campaign. All donations are tax-deductible.
When you Wish will work with Mayor Garcetti’s office, the LAPD and LAFD to accurately identify the known victims that had medical needs on Saturday. Real medical bills for under-/un-insured will be first priority of the charity. Once the victim’s needs are met, any remaining funds will be contributed to an existing local victim’s charity.
When You Wish will hold all funds in the non-profit and be accountable.
