The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood warning and high surf advisory which will remain in effect until Friday at 11am. The surf will peak with breakers as high as 15 to 20 feet (near Ventura) 9 to 14 feet expected in Venice, with southeast to south winds gusting to 40 knots. There will likely be substantial beach erosion.
