A few people have emailed us asking for an update on what happened with the recent Venice Boardwalk stabbing … here is what we have been told happened by a member of the LAPD:
The suspect (stabber) is a Venice local. The victim, from Los Angeles but not Venice, confronted the susp on something he was doing that the victim did not think was appropriate. The susp told the victim that it was none of his business then punched the victim. They became involved an physical altercation and the susp stabbed the victim three times. The victim and his cousins apprehended the suspect and detained him until police arrived. The victim was treated and released from the hospital the susp has two strikes and the DA filed attempt murder charges, the susp is still in custody.
