From NBC LA via Wendy P:
No tickets will be issued due to scheduled street cleaning from Dec. 26 to 30, according to sources at the bureau.
Perhaps a sign of a new culture at the Los Angeles’ Bureau of Parking Enforcement, the city has decided, for the first time, to not issue tickets for parking during scheduled street cleaning from Dec. 26 to 30.
In the past, traffic officers issued tickets to drivers who left their vehicles in restricted parking zones regardless of whether street sweepers were working their route.
This year, however, workers are being given the days following Christmas off, according to the bureau. And, it seems drivers are getting a late Christmas treat.
