I just saw the guys from The Meatball Shop of New York City doing publicity on the morning news for a “pop up” restaurant they will be hosting Saturday night at Roy Choi’s “Sunny Spot” in Marina Del Rey.
As I was eating breakfast, I didn’t catch too many of the details (I never got a PR release about this), but it sounds like The Meatball Shop has five locations in New York and may open one here soon.
The Meatball Shop guys have cooked 4,0000 meatballs for Saturday, so expect Marina del Rey to be overrun by a bunch of homesick New Yorkers. They won’t be taking reservations for this event.
