Tomorrow evening, the Occupy Venice Film Series will present “Alternative Energy and Emerging Technologies” at 1320 Main from 7-10pm. The event is free and all members of the community are welcome to attend!

This month we invite designer, author and activist Ray Podder to discuss alternative systems to our scarce energy paradigm and share some cutting edge tech and thinking with us. We will examine our current energy system, challenge its precepts, introduce alternatives and new ways of thinking about energy. We will get visits from Ray’s colleagues from around the world via video, updating on the latest developments in their countries. Video clips from the web will be shared and discussed. We will critique existing alternatives such as wind and solar. Last we will provide some concrete solutions for the public to explore now.
