National Honey Bee Awareness Day: August 18th

HoneyLove will present the “National Honey Bee Awareness Day” this Saturday, August 18th, at the West LA Civic Center starting at 1:30pm. This year’s theme is “Sustainable Agriculture Starts with Honey Bees!”

National Honey Bee Awareness Day: August 18th

The event is free and all ages are welcome! Speakers will include George Langworthy (Vanishing Of The Bees), Kirk Anderson (Backwards Beekeepers) and David King (The Learning Garden / The Seed Library Of Los Angeles).

Other attendees include the Backwards Beekeepers, the Theodore Payne Foundation, UCLA Extension Horticulture & Gardening Certificate Program, Mar Vista Community Council Green Committee, Del Rey Neighborhood Council, The Growing Home, UrbanFig, Roxana Illuminated Perfume, Beeing and Seeing, Sno-con AMOR, Honeydrop Beverages, Backyard Bees and Whole Foods Market from Plaza El Segundo.

The event is sponsored by Council District 11 and Councilman Bill Rosendahl!
