Venice Beach Shopping: Hostess Gift Ideas

Hostess Gift Ideas“: Lori Kingsnorth‘s tips for some great shopping finds around Venice!

URBANIC PAPER BOUTIQUE

Presentation: Urbanic Paper Boutique

Clever, beautiful, classic and modern ways to present your gift are offered here. Suggested hostess gifts: custom return address or initial stamp/recipe cards/cupcake kits.

Audrey and her husband Joshua are the creative duo behind Urbanic, which was started in 2006. “We are equally inspired by the complex, organic beauty of nature as well as the modern, sophisticated style of urban living. We came up with the term ‘Urbanic’ to encompass both.”

Audrey’s Fav Holiday Traditon: Spending time with family on Christmas Eve to share festive foods and make a toast.

TUMBLEWEED & DANDELION

Ambiance: Tumbleweed and Dandelion

Lizabeth is the creator of these American made slow burning and biodegradable soy based candles. You will find a photo her father on the ‘Billy Big Bucks’ series along with a childhood photo of her grandmother and a quote from one of her brother’s tunes.

Lots of love has gone into the creation of these fabulously scented candles. Gingerbread, cinnamon sticks and orange clove scents are in the holiday line to bring extra festive joy to your home. This candle line is perfect to bring to the ‘hostess’ of holiday parties!

Lizabeth’s Fav Tradition of the Holiday Season: Gathering in her yard for dinner and a movie and snuggling by a burning fire pit.

Local 1205

Delectables: Local 1205

Delish hostess gift ideas are at Local 1205. Matthew keeps tables and shelves stocked full of unique and flavorful items.

Hostess gift suggestions from Local 1205 include Happy Girl Kitchen’s blackberry lemon summer jam/crushed heirloom tomatoes, Dr.Cow ‘s cashew cream cheese, Il Casolaro ‘s extra virgin olive oil and Boat Street Products and assorted pastas.

Matthew began his love and extensive knowledge of food while working at his grandparent’s deli as a child. As an adult his interests and tastebuds brought him to Italy, San Fran, and NY but he now resides at Local 1205.

Mathew’s Fav Holiday Tradition: Enjoying his grandmother’s homemade gnocchi on Chrismas Eve.
