The annual VNC community improvement project funding program applications are now available.
The funding is a competitive process for qualified community projects in which funds of up to $2,000 will be awarded to local groups and individuals to improve the quality of life in the Venice community. This program is administered by the Venice Neighborhood Council. For the 2011-12 cycle of funding, the Venice Neighborhood Council has a budget of $16,000 to award.
Projects have ranged from neighborhood clean-up to community gardens to after-school programs for kids and programs for seniors. Look around Venice and if there is something you would like to see improved, apply!
