Looks like the outdoor smoking areas at James Beach, The Whaler, La Cabana and others could possibly be shut down on March 8th, which will be the first day of enforcement for a new ban on smoking at outdoor eating areas in the City of Los Angeles. Then again, they can just make their places over 18 past 8 pm or so and let people smoke?
From The LAist:
The Outdoor Dining No-Smoking Ordinance “prohibits smoking within ten feet of all non-enclosed restaurant areas (excluding bars/nightclubs that require patrons to be 18 and older or private events) and 40 feet from mobile food kiosks and trucks that do not have dedicated dining areas (C.F. 08-1544).”
