The Venice Canals sluice gate replacement is almost complete and it appears that they will be finished within the 90 days allotted by the California Coastal Commission. Hopefully these new sluice gates will enable some sort of regular pattern to be established in the fill cycling of the canals, which sometimes end up drained at the oddest of times like holiday weekends where a lot of tourists have come to look at them.
