Tomorrow night there will be a meeting to discuss front hard hedges and fences in Venice. We are talking compliance, citations and substantial monetary fines for greenery and fences that are above 3’6″ … OUCH ! While I understand the perspective of wanting to keep the streets scenic and not just miles of gates of some sort or the other (greenery included) … from the point of view of a resident it is really nice to grow plants high enough that passerby are not staring in your windows while you walk around your home and yard. They are also nice for safety! Everyone should be allowed to let some light in through their windows without having peepers peep, right?
