Wondering what all the helicopter noise has been for the last few hours near Main and Brooks? According to Officer Do at the LAPD Pacific Division, the LAPD is looking for a “parolee at large” that may be suspected of a robbery in the vicinity earlier today (6pm). The LAPD is presently going door to door looking for the suspect, but the helicopter will be pulled off the scene soon. No further information (including a suspect description) has been released to the public as of 9pm.
Yo! Venice! reader Lisa L. wrote in that officers on scene told her it was an armed robbery suspect, but the LAPD would not confirm that.
Update 10:30pm: LAPD says they could not find the “parolee at large”. More info when we get it!
