Secret Celebrity Guest to Light Venice Sign

9:33am

It has become a  much-loved Venice Beach tradition and this year it is the 4th time around for the Venice Chamber of Commerce’s annual sign-lighting extravaganza.

Tonight, Friday December 4th,  from 6:15pm – 9:15pm join a special, secret, celebrity-guest as they flip the switch on  the Venice Sign, changing the lights from it’s Thanksgiving orange and white, to  Red and Green for the holiday season.

Past years have seen surprise guests,  local celebrities Robert Downy Jnr and P!ink do the lighting honors. Event organizer George Francisco says if he pulls off this year’s celebrity guest, the sign-lighting will be bigger than ever.

Windward Ave., will shut down to make way for the festivities which will include special booths from local businesses. Menotti’s Coffee stop will join forces with Townhouse to provide some special holiday coffee cocktails to get the party started.

Yo! Venice will be broadcasting the event live on Twitter via Periscope. Follow us @yovenice.
