The National Weather Service says there’s a threat of coastal flooding in Southern and Central California this week because of a combination of building surf and unusually high tides.
With the full moon tomorrow, the highest high tides are expected tomorrow through Thursday. Also forecast is long-period northwest swell Wednesday through Friday .
There is a potential for high surf on west and northwest-facing beaches. At the same time, a southwest swell will build and forecasters say the combined swells will create elevated to high surf.
It will be sunny today. Highs will run from the upper 70s at the beach to the 90s in some valley areas.
Air quality will run from good to moderate.
