Locals may be familiar with Charlie, a Los Angeles Police Department horse that is sometimes seen around Venice Beach.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who scrawled graffiti on Charlie on Tuesday while he was working a crime suppression detail
The silver-colored graffiti was removed from the hind quarters of the horse, which was from the Mounted Division of the LAPD’s Metropolitan Division.
