Prosecutors charged Kevin Dwayne Green, 28, with murder Tuesday, a day after he and another man were named as suspects in the slaying of Oscar Duncan, the district attorney’s office said.
A second suspect, identified by Los Angeles police as Hopeton Bereford Parsley, 22, was not charged in the case but authorities said they are continuing to investigate.
Green, who was arrested Friday, was expected to appear in court Tuesday to be arraigned on the murder charge. Green, also known as Baby Skull, will face a minimum of 50 years to life in prison if convicted on one count of murder with gun use and street gang allegations, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Teresa Magno with the Hardcore Gang Division.
Prosecutors will ask that his bail be set at $2 million.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles police continued to look for other possible suspects in Duncan’s slaying.
