Sonata has a new mural up on Ocean Front Walk titled “Iron Maiden”. The aerosol on wood piece is 8 x 60 ft.
This is the fourth mural in Sonata’s series “Just Being Real With Me” in which the artist “explores the thoughts I’ve had in personal relationships but never said.”
Sonata says “the term ‘Iron Maiden’ is usually associated with the English heavy metal band or with a torture device from the Middle Ages, both having a harsh connotation to them. For this piece I decided to play more off the ‘Maiden’ aspect of the term”.
