The Sholem Community will hold its annual fundraiser this Sunday from 10am-1:30pm at the Westside Neighborhood School.
The gym will be transformed into a festive marketplace featuring handmade crafts, ceramics, clothing, jewelry, fine and recycled art, used books, live music, expresso bar, fresh waffles and a bake sale. There will be a supervised playground for kids 10 and under and Sholem’s monthly “Bagels ‘n Blox” Parent & Me program (10:30 to noon) which will feature songs, stories and art projects for kids 0-4.
WNS is located at 5401 Beethoven St, Los Angeles 90066 (behind the Home Depot on Jefferson.) FREE admission/parking — ALL are welcome!
Proceeds benefit Upward Bound House, whose mission is to eliminate homelessness for families with children; The Spiral Foundation, which supports humanitarian projects in economically developing countries; and the Sholem Community, a non-profit, secular Jewish organization. Sholem programs include a Sunday school that introduces kids ages 4-14 to Jewish culture, traditions, history & progressive values, and adult activities including meaningful, non-religious observances of Jewish holidays.
