The FBI announced Friday an arrest of the so-called ‘Tourist Bandit’, responsible for a series of bank heists in and around Hollywood and Venice (at the bank of America).
Rex Lutton, 54, and no known address, was arrested Friday after officials say he attempted to rob a customer inside a Bank of America branch on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.
According to the FBI’s Laura Eimiller, Lutton is a parolee at large who escaped from federal custody earlier this month.
Currently, Lutton is being held at the LAPD Hollywood Division.
