First Baptist Pastor Arrested for Molestation

Authorities are searching for more possible victims after a youth pastor in Venice was arrested for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl for more than a year. Granada Hills resident, 28-year-old Demetrius Darnell Allen, is facing 10 counts of a lewd act upon a child and one count each of possession of child pornography and contacting minor for a sexual offense.

 

Allen was the pastor in charge of youth ministries at First Baptist Church of Venice, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

“Investigators believe there may be additional victims, and are hoping anyone with information about this case or any unreported cases will come forward,” according to LAPD.
