The LA County Helps! website has been designed to assist residents of Los Angeles County who want to privately and confidentially check their potential eligibility for many different health and human services and programs via the Internet. LA County Helps! is a free and easy way to find out if you and/or your family have access to these services (EBT (“food stamps”), Medi-Cal and Section 8 ) based on your circumstances.
LA County Helps! provides information on County services, including all contact information. The site also has a list of what you need to bring or have in order for application for eligible services. The site’s pre-screener will determine eligibility for all programs through the answering of questions online.
The site also provides the latest news on important County issues and community services and offers a listing of links to the most commonly-needed resources. Los Angeles County also offers information and referrals on its services via telephone 24 hours a day/7 days a week by dialing 2-1-1 from any phone in the County.
