At 2 pm today a transient suspected of stabbing someone in Malibu was apprehended at the Venice Pier while lounging at the picnic tables. The LA Sheriffs Department had contacted the LAPD, who found the suspect.
This arrest, a week to the day after the LAPD arrested Christmas Eve homicide suspect Dennis James Boyles sleeping in the sand on Venice Beach, underscores the need and value of the extra LAPD presence in Venice Beach.
Once again, thanks to the LAPD for keeping these dangerous suspects off of our streets and keeping the residents, tourists and children of Venice safe!
