From Councilman Bill Rosendahl:
Councilmember Bill Rosendahl is seeking public input on a survey that will help shape transportation – specifically the need for parking – on Venice Boulevard.
The Westside Mobility Plan is a City of Los Angeles project to create a transportation blueprint for the Westside in consideration of multimodal travel, north-south rail connections, and parking solutions. The project includes a Livable Boulevards Study and will also update the Coastal Transportation Corridor Specific Plan and the West LA Transportation Specific Plan.
The Westside Mobility Plan is evaluating parking deficiencies in the Westside and will recommend solutions such as additional parking, parking pricing and management strategies. The goal of the parking analysis is to develop a series of recommendations to enhance the quality of the parking programs and resources in the Westside, with a focus on specific parking hot spot areas and their surrounding neighborhoods. Some of these areas include the Westwood Village, Pico Boulevard, Lincoln Boulevard, Abbot Kinney/Main, and Loyola Village areas. In each of these commercial activity areas and others on the Westside, parking plays a key role in providing access and supporting the economic vitality of the area.
We need feedback on your experience parking in the Westside and your input regarding parking areas of most concern within the Westside, and welcome your assistance in helping us get the word out about the project. Please complete the Westside Parking Survey by clicking this link (http://www.westsidemobilityplan.com/parking-study-hot-spot/) or if preferred, you can click here to print out the attached pdf and mail it back to us via U.S. mail. We especially welcome and encourage your assistance with forwarding this email to family and friends that live and/or work on the Westside. (Neighborhood Council representatives, please forward this email on to your membership lists.) Please complete the survey by January 20, 2011.
Your comments shared via the completed survey are valuable to us and will be used to shape the outcome of this study. You are encouraged to visit our website for project updates and information at Westside Mobility Plan If you have questions, please email us at westside2@fehrandpeers.com.
