The VNC Board will hear a report and discuss proposed recommendations regarding parking issues on Abbot Kinney Blvd at its next meeting. Some of the recommendations include possible development of a consolidated valet parking program for the Abbot Kinney area, creation of an Abbot Kinney Business Improvement District, limitations on Food Truck patronage at locations where public safety is a concern, and consideration of a permit process to regulate public parking of Food Trucks.
The discussion will take Place at the VNC’s next board meeting, on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, in the Auditorium of the Westminster Elementary School, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd. The meeting begins at 7:00PM.
Other items on the agenda include a proposed change in use of a property located at 585 E. North Venice Blvd, the location that had housed Samy’s Camera before it moved. The property is currently zoned for Manufacturing – the Land Use and Planning Committee (LUPC) recommends that the use be changed to allow Retail and Storage. Another LUPC motion will be considered regarding the development of the “Biga Restaurant,” a proposed gourmet pizza kitchen to be located at 533 Rose at the intersection of Rose and Dimmick. The LUPC has recommended that the VNC Board approve the project.
The agenda for the meeting will be posted here by Saturday, 7/18.
