VNC Environmental Committee Tonight at G2 Gallery

The Venice Neighborhood Council Environmental Committee will meet tonight at G2 Gallery starting at 6:30PM. LA Board of Public Work Commissioner Paula Daniels will be speaking about the Green Gardner Initiative. The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

A. Re-introduction of committee purpose and mission
B. Self Introduction for New Members
C. Approval of Agenda
D. Approval of Minutes

1. Letter to be voted on by VNC at next meeting
a) If approved the we need volunteers to deliver letters to business from 2/17 – 2/24

III. New Business

A. Green Gardners Initiative in Venice
Presentation by Paula Daniels, Commissioner, Board of Public Works on Green Infrastructure initiatives ([email protected])

B. 2010 Community Improvement Funding Program
1. Up to $2000 a project will be awarded to local groups and individuals to improve the quality of life in the Venice community. This program is administered by the Venice Neighborhood Council. For the 2010-11 cycle of funding, the Venice Neighborhood Council has a budget of $20,000 to award.
a) Application can be downloaded @ http://venicenc.org/files/CIP_App_2010.pdf
b) All applicable pages must be submitted by mail and postmarked by Monday, March 1, 2010.
