Earlier in the week, The Ford Motor Company revealed their new Expedition here in Venice. If you want a review of it, click here. Anywho, the cool part of this for Venice was the sand sculptures that were built by “Team Sandtastic” from Sarasota, Florida. Check this slide show for pictures of the sculptures.
The sand sculptures were built with “imported” sand that was trucked in for the event, as “normal” beach sand is not good for sculpting. Because they had wood forms as their bases, people were not allowed to play on them and the day after the event bulldozers came to remove all of the “construction” including the imported sand from the beach.
