Jorge Nolasco, who was arrested on January 10th for the fatal stabbing death of Guillermo Carmona-Perez, was arraigned earlier today according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Barnes said Jorge Nolasco, 23 (dob 8/23/90), appeared in Department 144 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Airport Branch.
Nolasco is charged with one count of murder in case SA086180. The felony complaint alleges he used a deadly and dangerous weapon, a knife.
Carmona-Perez was found mortally wounded on Nov. 18, 2013 near Washington Boulevard and Pacific Avenue, after his shift had ended at a nearby restaurant, the prosecutor said.
Nolasco is being held on $1 million bail. If convicted he faces a life sentence. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the case.
