Tonight at 7:30, the G2 Gallery on Abbot Kinney will screen the documentary film “Tipping Point: The Age of the Oil Sands”. The documentary was narrated by Sigourney Weaver and features the stunning photography of Garth Lenz.
Tipping Point:The Age of the Oil Sands is a CBC produced documentary of a David and Goliath struggle between the community of Fort Chipewyan and the industry reaping the profits of the Alberta Tar Sands. Avatar director and Canadian native, James Cameron’s involvement in this documentary was essential. This documentary is presented in conjunction with the exhibit Boreal Future: Our Last Great Forest and the Threat of the Tar Sands.
